# India’s second predominantly S – band communication satellite (GSAT – 6A) to be launched on March 29 from Sriharikota
- It will complement GSAT - 6 which has been orbiting since Aug 2017
- The 2000 kg class 6A costs about Rs. 270 crore
- GSAT – 6A is designated for the use of the Armed Forces and will not add any transponder capacity for general uses
