Beti Bacho – Beti Padho
Ø  Launched
Ø  Ministry of Women and Child Development
Ø  Launched on Jan 22, 2015

Ø  There are three objectives in this scheme. They are:
-          Prevent female infanticide
-          Ensure every girl child is protected
-          Ensure every girl child is educated
HRIDAY

Soil Health Card
Ø  Launched

Ø  14 crore Soil Health Cards are envisaged to be issued over the next 3 years
 National Deworming Initiative
Ø  Launched
Ø  Venue: Jaipur, Rajasthan
Ø  Aimed at protecting more than 24 crore children in the ages of 1-19 years from intestinal worms.
Ø  Aims to target intestinal parasitic worms among the children to achieve status of being Worm
Ø  According to WHO estimates, nearly 24 crore children in India in the age group of 1-14 years are at risk of intestinal parasitic worm infestation
Ø  In the first phase, about 14 crore children across eleven States/UT of Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Tripura will be covered.

Ø  The scheme was launched with an aim to combat the problem of declining child sex ratio in the state
Ø  Under the scheme, the girl child born on or after 22 January 2015 in Schedule Caste (SC) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families will be eligible to receive 21000 rupees
Bhagyashree
Ø  Launched
Ø  Government of Maharashtra
Ø  Scheme replaced Sukanya scheme
Ø  As per the scheme, the state government will deposit an amount of 21200 rupees in bank for a girl child born in a Below the Poverty Line (BPL) family.
Ø  The Bhagyashree scheme aims at providing one lakh rupee on maturity after the girl completes 18 years of age
Ø  Bollywood actress Bhagyashree is the brand ambassador of the scheme.
Ø  The Bhagyashree scheme would be linked to the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme of Union Government
