[CA] Agneeprastha Missile Park

The foundation stone for a Missile Park named ‘Agneeprastha’ was laid & a 2 Mega Watt (MW) solar photovoltaic plant was commissioned at INS Kalinga, Visakhapatnam. A 2MW plant was commissioned in line with the initiative of the Union government to promote solar power and an objective to achieve 100 Giga Watt (GW) of solar power by 2022 as part of the National Solar Mission. INS Kalinga is a premier Naval Establishment located on the Visakhapatnam, Bheemunipatnam beach road. It is about 25 kilometers from the city and 40 kilometers from the Naval Base & was commissioned on Nov 21, 1985.
