The Norwegian Academy of Science
announced the Able Prize for 2020 to two mathematicians – Hillel Frustenberg (American
– Israeli) and Gregory Margulis (Russian – American).
They are honoured for their work
towards probability and
dynamics in number theory, combinatorics and Group Theory.
Abel Prize is a Norwegian Prize
that is being presented annually by the King of Norway Every Abel Prize
recipient is awarded with 7.5 million Norwegian Kroner.
Abel Prize & Fields Medal is
also called as “Nobel Prize for
Mathematics”
