2014 Summer Youth Olympics
The 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games (officially known as II Summer Youth Olympic Games) was the second Summer Youth Olympic Games, an international sports, education and cultural festival for teenagers, held from 16 to 28 August 2014 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China. (Nanjing defeated Poznan of Poland in bidding for hosting the 2014 Youth Olympics)

  • Silver Medal: Venkat Rahul Ragala in Boy’s Weight Lifting
  • Bronze Medal: Atul Verma in Boy’s Archery [with this, Atul Verma becomes the first Indian player to win Olympic medal in Archery for India]
  • National Flag bearer in Opening Ceremony: Shyam Kumar
  • India, which had won 8 medals (6 silver + 2 bronze) in 2010 games, managed just 2 medals this time.
