5TH BIMSTEC SUMMIT 5th edition of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Summit 2020 to be held in Colombo in September 2020. Countries in BIMSTEC are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand. ICC T20 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP Australia retained the women’s world cup by defeating India in the finals held in Melbourne. This is fifth world cup title won by Australian team and also the first final match for India. For the first time, it was attended by 3 ministries i.e. Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ministry of Defence. SCHOOLS IN INDIA DON’T HAVE POWER, PLAYGROUNDS As per the report submitted by the Parliamentary panel on education, almost half of the government schools in the country do not have any electricity or playgrounds.
