2015 was a year where G20 will focus
its efforts on ensuring inclusive and robust growth through
collective action.

This can be formulated as the three I’s of the Turkish Presidency: Inclusiveness, Implementation, and Investment for Growth.

the Refugee Crisis”
Priorities
for 2015
·
In 2015 under the Turkish Presidency,
we will be building on previous Presidencies’ agenda and ensure a seamless
continuity in the G20, while introducing new elements to ensure decisive
collective action to provide inclusive and robust growth.

Three pillars of the 2015 agenda will
be:
(i) Strengthening the Global Recovery
and Lifting the Potential
(ii) Enhancing Resilience
(iii) Buttressing Sustainability

First Ever W20 Summit

Aim: G20 Leaders to
do more on gender equality and women’s economic empowerment
·
36 representatives
from 20 countries and two international organizations, namely UN Women and
International Labor Organization participated.
·
Vietnam, Cambodia,
Afghanistan, Nigeria and Uganda were among the countries represented in the
Summit, specially invited by W20 Turkey in line with Turkey’s priority to
strengthen dialogue with the Low Income Developing Countries during its G20
Presidency.
·
W20 has also agreed
to play an active role in monitoring and asked the G20 to develop a scorecard
to measure progress in the participation of women in the economy.
·
W20 recommendations
compiled in the Summit Communiqué was conveyed to the G20 Leaders during the
G20 Antalya Summit on 15-16 November.
·
W20 is a new official
engagement group of the G20 established in 2015 upon the initiative of the G20
Turkish Presidency.
·
W20 supports G20’s
efforts to achieve gender inclusive economic growth and women’s economic
empowerment.
