Novak Djokovic won
his maiden French Open title in 2016; with this win he hold all four Grand Slam
titles (Career Grand Slam); becomes eight man to achieve Career Grand Slam;
also Djokovic is only the third man after Don Budge and Rod Laver to hold the
four majors at the same time; becomes the first man since Jim Courier in 1992
to win the Australian and French Opens back-to-back.
Leander Paes
completed a 'Career Slam' in mixed doubles with Swiss partner Martina Hingis; Paes
became only the third player in Open era to achieve a men's and mixed doubles
career Grand Slam; Paes had won Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open titles
in 2015 with Hingis; It was 18th Grand Slam title for Paes and 10th in the
mixed doubles.
